Holiday Insanity

Whew! Sorry I’ve been a bit neglectful on the blog lately- in truth I’ve pretty much been neglectful to all technology around the holidays, as evidenced by the 50+ posts sitting in my Google reader.

The holiday season has once again been super busy, and will continue to be busy through the New Year. But, in the midst of organizing, cleaning, crafting, and getting ready for 2013, I wanted to drop in and let you know that I’m still around. I’ve just been busy with… well, I’ll let the photos do the talking!

Getting the coolest Christmas present from Brian- the ENTIRE thing is homemade, including that beautiful butcher block top. I’m so lucky to be married to such a talented guy šŸ™‚

Baking batch after batch of homemade cookies on the aforementioned butcher block…

Wrapping every last present and getting them all under the tree…

Unexpectedly meeting a (slightly creepy) Santa at brunch with some of my best friends…

Spending some quality time with Brian’s godson, one of my favorite little guys in the world…

And organizing all of my craft stuff!

Since I certainly don’t need any more stuff in the house, I asked Brian’s parents for something to store all of my existing crafting gear. Although my yarn hoard is far to large for any type of single storage bin, I’ve been having a ton of fun (nerdy, I know) organizing all of my paper/stationery/stamps/stickers/Filofax gear into the awesome storage tower they got me. And since each bin has a snap on top, I can easily see what’s inside and take them with me if I’m crafting on the go. Total awesomeness.

Well, I’m zooming off to do some more organizing, including getting the Filo ready for 2013- a post will hopefully come soon after! Then I’m going to curl up and crochet the rest of the afternoon- we just got our first snow so it seems to be the perfect snuggling-inside-for-the-day kind of thing to do šŸ™‚

How have your holidays been? Any crafting? Organizing? Never-ending family gatherings?
