A Very Homemade Christmas

While I didn’t go quite as crazy with homemade gifts this Christmas as I usually do, there were still a few I made that I wanted to share.

I made Nana a warm and cozy scarf with my new favorite stitch, the shell stitch. Brian’s sister had requested a hat similar to one I just finished for myself, so I made her one in a sparkly blue and had just enough to make a reusable coffee koozie as well! I tucked a Starbucks gift card into the cup to complete her gift. The last of our homemade gifts came in the form of dehydrated pineapple – it has become one of my MIL’s favorite snacks since the holidays!

With the job hunt and getting ready for the trip home I didn’t have time to make nearly the amount of homemade gifts I wanted to, but I was glad I was able to get a few projects done!

Did any of you go the homemade route for the holidays? I’d love to hear what you made!

  1. I knit my daughter a scarf with eyelash yarn for her dress-up box and am currently working on a pair of socks for my sister's birthday!

  2. Oh fun! I think I'm going to try to get back into knitting in the New Year – I knit years and years ago but switched pretty quickly to crochet!
