Here’s to the Unknown

Well, it has been a while. Awhile since an actual post anyway. I can come up with all the excuses in the world, but the truth is I really haven’t known what to write.
Though I’ve written about many things, for the last several years this has mostly been a planner blog. The majority of my followers found me through planners and organizing, and while I’ve enjoyed every bit of it, I know I’m not going to be able to keep it up. See, I’m the most boring planner user to have a blog about it. I’ve used the same planner for nearly five years. My system rarely changes, and we all know my thoughts on decorating.
However, I love to write. A lot. I might not be the best at it, but it is something I really enjoy. So I’m not stopping.
I don’t know how often I’ll write, or what I’ll write about. I do have a few ideas of things you may see here in the coming months:
Iowa
We love it here. There is so much going on – right now we are in the middle of the Iowa Caucuses. Contrary to popular conceptions of Iowa, it’s an incredible state and Des Moines is an amazing city.
Running
I know I’ve posted a bit about running before. It is something that I never realized I could love so much. Unfortunately, right now, I’m dealing with an unknown knee injury… I’m in the midst of figuring out treatment. It is driving me crazy, but maybe I’ll transfer some of my pent up running energy into writing energy.
House Hunting
That’s right – we’re back at the house hunt. Our last house hunt was a LONG time ago (and ended in no house) so we’re a bit more subdued this time around. Still, it is exciting and since we can’t seem to stay away from a house that needs work, there may be some renovation posts to come!
Who knows what else this year will bring. I’m hoping that my readers stick around, but I completely understand if this direction of the blog is not your cup of tea. Though I’m sure a planner post will sneak in from time to time!
Here’s to a 2016 filled with the unknown, and a year of writing about it!
