Happy spring, Mom

Ok, so it isn’t officially spring yet, but stopping by my Mom’s old house last week and spotting these guys made me realize it is just around the corner…

I could just completely picture her standing out in the yard, lecturing these little blooms that “It isn’t time yet. It still might get cold, and you shouldn’t be blooming already.” All the while shaking her finger at the ground. Yes, my Mom was the type to talk to her flowers. But hey, she had award winning gardens, so maybe she knew something the rest of us didn’t. Regardless, seeing these little guys made me smile.

Any early signs of spring putting a smile on your face these days?

  1. I have those popping up as well in my front yard. I'll look at them differently now and in a better way. xx

  2. How lovely! We have daffodils that are up – it's really too early for them so I hope that's the end of winter for us (though we really didn't have one). It's been so warm here during the last week. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get snow now!

  3. Aren't they just so happy looking? The daffodils have started blooming as well 🙂

  4. I just cut some daffodils from her yard yesterday! They are definitely brightening up my dark little apartment 🙂

And yes, I hope we are done with snow. But I'd rather have average weather now and beautiful weather in September if we can't have both!
