Month in Review: February 2014

What a whirlwind February was! I still can’t believe we’re already into March – I think I say this every year but I think we’re going to blink and it’ll be Christmas again.
I started off the month of February with two special occasions: my 27th birthday and 500 posts on The Crazy Life of J! I can’t believe I’m closer to 30 than I am 21 or that I’ve spent so much of the last several years sharing my life with you all. I’m equally happy about both!
I also started the 30 day plank challenge in February (and I’m already in the last week)! It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve definitely noticed a change. We’ll see if I keep up with another challenge when this one ends!
After over two years, I finally published an updated What’s in My Bag post. Though I suppose I’ll have to do another one in March since I just got a new bag (I won’t spoil it, but I’m in love)!

Of course I can’t get a few months into 2014 without changing my Filofax set up, which of course I also shared with you all. It wasn’t anything drastic – I just moved a few things around and added a pencil to my every day carry. Though it has already changed once again, so stay tuned later this week for those details!
February also brought an updated Things I Like post, this time in the form of the portable phone charger I received from Brian as a birthday gift. It’s such a simple little device, but it makes me feel so much better knowing that I have an extra phone charge especially on days where I’m out of the house for 12-14 hours!
I thought it would be fun to have a little dig through my planner archives for a short series in February, where I featured my Exacompta Daily Pocket and Franklin Covey 365 planners that I used in 2004 and 2008, respectively. I’ve got one more post in the series coming later this week!

After about six months of living in Bowling Green, I also did another house update. This one was on setting up “priority spaces” when moving into a new home. It’s the little things that make setting up a new house all the much easier!
I ended the month with a post just as exciting as the post I started the month with – after almost nine months and 27 applications, I finally found a full time job! Who knows, between my age this year and the number of job applications I had to submit, maybe 27 should be my new lucky number!

How was your February? Is this year already flying by for you?
